Kathmandu, Nepal – February 2020
Operation Walk Chicago will be traveled to Kathmandu, Nepal in February 2020 to perform 35 very complex knee replacement surgeries. We returned to Nepal Orthopedic Hospital, our longstanding partner hospital.
Recife, Brazil – November 2019
Operation Walk had an extensive project at Hospital Don Helder, performing 37 knee replacements, uncovering life-threatening but treatable diseases in others, while teaching a myriad of clinicians and helping the hospital evaluate and improve its processes of care.
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – May 2019
On our 6th large mission trip in Vietnam, fifty Operation Walk volunteers worked at Military Hospital 175, performing 43 hip and knee replacement surgeries. Despite the country’s rapid and impressive growth, joint replacement remains rare in Vietnam.

Congratulations to Operation Walk Chicago co-founders Drs Brander and Stulberg. Upcoming Projects
Future medical missions are temporarily on hold
Operation Walk Chicago will be scheduling future missions pending the status of the pandemic and when international travel can safely resume.

Benefit Dinner – September 2019
Operation Walk Chicago hosted another successful Benefit Dinner at 625 West Adams. It was an intimate event with 80 people who attended. Famous Chef Jimmy Bannos prepared a delicious meal, there was live music, and an auction. Thank you to all who attended, we are grateful for your generosity and commitment to our cause!
